Myra House is a non-profit monastic living place offering a healing, renewing and transforming experience through communal living. We observe ecologically sustainable and holistic principles as follows:

Why Ecological?
We are a part of the organic nature of the whole universe. Each moment of our living is interdependent and interconnected with the web of life with animals, plants, aquatic creatures and their environment. Therefore, our living place should be a home where we recognize the interdependence and invite the interaction.
Why Sustainable?
All living creatures are energy sustainable. Each one is capable of being efficient and coefficient simultaneously. Just as each healthy tree is vital to the forest ecosystem, each living place should be a home of conservation and regeneration, which relies on natural energy flows, practices organic gardening, and minimizes waste with recycling.
Why Holistic?
We are spiritual being whose life depends on the energy of life coming from beyond the visible materialistic world. We are also emotional beings who are vulnerable and can be damaged easily. Therefore, our living place should be a home of healing, renewing and transforming in an ecologically sustainable environment.
